Qistiq Advance Account Deletion Policy
Effective Date: January 1, 2025
This policy explains how Qistiq Advance handles account deletion requests, what information may be retained after deletion, and the obligations that remain in effect after an account is closed.
Account Deletion Requests
Customers may request deletion of their Qistiq account at any time through Account Settings, Customer Support, Email Request, or Privacy Request Portal (if available).
To protect customer accounts and prevent unauthorized requests, Qistiq may require identity verification before processing account deletion requests.
What Happens When an Account Is Deleted
Upon approval of an account deletion request:
- •Customer access to the Qistiq platform will be disabled.
- •Login access will be revoked.
- •Active services may be terminated.
- •Certain personal information may be removed or anonymized where permitted by law.
- •The account will no longer be available for normal use.
Information That May Be Retained
Qistiq may retain certain information after account deletion for legal, regulatory, security, operational, and fraud prevention purposes. Examples include:
- •Identity Verification Documents (KYC)
- •AML Records
- •Transaction Records
- •Repayment Records
- •Advance Agreements
- •Payment Authorization Records
- •Electronic Signature Records
- •Audit Logs
- •Fraud Investigation Records
- •Complaint Records
- •Collection Records
- •Tax and Accounting Records
Retention periods are governed by Qistiq's Data Retention Policy and applicable laws.
Outstanding Balances
Account deletion does not:
- •Cancel outstanding advances.
- •Cancel repayment obligations.
- •Remove unpaid balances.
- •Prevent collection activities.
- •Release the customer from contractual obligations.
Customers remain responsible for any outstanding amounts owed to Qistiq.
Pending Investigations
Qistiq may delay or deny account deletion requests if fraud investigations, AML reviews, or legal proceedings are ongoing, or if regulatory requests require record preservation, or if collection activities are active.
Processing Time
Qistiq will make reasonable efforts to process verified account deletion requests within 30 business days, unless a longer period is required by law, regulatory obligations, security reviews, or fraud investigations.
Confirmation of Deletion
Once the deletion request is completed, Qistiq may send confirmation through Email, SMS, or In-App Notification.
Customers should retain this confirmation for their records.
Reactivation of Accounts
Deleted accounts generally cannot be restored. Customers wishing to use Qistiq again may be required to create a new account, complete KYC verification, submit new documentation, and meet current eligibility requirements.
